The practice of dentistry is now regarded as one of the honorable professions in every good community. Good schools for the equipment of the dentist are established everywhere. Grand Saline is fortunate in having Dr. Neil locate in her midst, representing this profession. With approaching maturity, his ambitions turned in the direction of dentistry as a profession, and so in 1895 he took his first course in dentistry in Vanderbilt University. He followed with a second course there. He practiced in the meantime, but in 1901-2 he took an additional course in the Chicago College of Dental Surgery, where he graduated. He is therefore equipped with instructions from two of the best institutions in the country, and a number of years' practical experience. Besides these he took a post-graduate course in Chicago Post-Graduate Dental College. He is thoroughly in love with his profession and is determined to secure and practice for the benefit of his patients the best equipments and methods approved by the profession and up to date. He is a member of several secret societies.
